The Senior Accountant will direct the financial operations of the company including budgeting, planning, government audits, and other financial matters.

Supervisory responsibility:

  • Oversees employee(s) and/or service providers responsible for financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, and payroll.
  •  Implements internal control policies and procedures for all financial activities.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.


  • Ensure Company financial records are accurately and adequately maintained, including General Ledger and supporting subsidiary ledgers for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory and Fixed Assets.\
  • Coordinates the company's financial planning, budgeting, cashflow planning and forecasting.
  •  Ensures compliance with Government/DCAA/DCMA accounting requirements and audits.
  •  Investigation, analysis and recommendations to address ad hoc and pop-up financial, accounting, operational and administrative issues.
  • Monthly generation of financial statements, reports, and invoices.
  •  Administrative compliance to contracts and bid support.
  • Provides financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Oversees the preparation of periodic financial statements, activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards.
  • Reviews financial details from past, present, and forecasted operations; identifies development opportunities and improvements that can be made.
  • Provides management with short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Advises business units on and assists with implementation of accounting and budgeting policies.
  • Collaborates with external CPA for tax preparation. 
  • Maintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and specialized accounting software used by the organization.

  • Unanet-intermediate skill level
  • Government contracting


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required; Masters degree preferred.
  • Five years or more of related experience required.

Physical demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
