Program Manager

Drodex is looking for Program Managers to join our team supporting a high op-tempo, high visibility, and high-impact office within the Department of Health and Human Services. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) is a public health preparedness and emergency response organization in the Office of the Secretary at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. ASPR was created under the Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to lead the nation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters. 


  • Provide leadership to the task order team, ensure conformance to performance requirements, and assist in the overall direction to all project level activities and personnel.
  • Manage a large team of professionals in providing a wide range of services and manage assigned projects within scope and budget with little or no corporate guidance.
  • Organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, establish, and maintain technical and management reports, oversee quality control, develop and modify project plans, and document and resolve problems.


  • At least five (5) or more years of senior leadership and program/portfolio manager experience or similar work experience. 
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field is required for this position, but a graduate degree or above in a related field is   preferred. 
  • Proven work experience managing complex projects, programs, and portfolios 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired but not required.
  • Ability to work comfortably with mid- and senior-level client personnel in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analysis and organizational skills and forward-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience supporting HHS, HHS ASPR and/or in a public health or preparedness and emergency response mission set is a plus.
