Description

MeatEater, Inc. is seeking a highly-motivated and experienced individual to join First Lite’s operations team as a Supply Chain Coordinator. As a Supply Chain Coordinator for First Lite, you will actively coordinate with First Lite factories, freight forwarders, the First Lite 3PL, Operations, Product and Sales & Marketing teams to facilitate WIP reports, PO delivery, and quality control of First Lite products. You must have experience in production planning, freight booking, quality control, and have excellent communication and organizational skills. Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of work experience in the areas of manufacturing, logistics, quality control or other areas related to supply chain is required. 

  • WIP and PO Delivery 
    • Track and communicate work in progress, packing lists and PO delivery dates with First Lite’s vendors, internal team and 3PL
    • Manage customer’s raw material needs and dropship orders
  • Quality Control 
    • Schedule and coordinate 3rd party factory audits for each major PO. 
    • Coordinate with the Product Department to make sure TOP samples are reviewed and approved
  • Freight Forwarding 
    • Book PO shipments by gathering information from vendors and analyzing freight costs and requirements provided by freight forwarders
    • Approve freight quotes and manage the PO transit from vendor factory to internal warehouse
    • Coordinate with vendors and customs broker to provide proper documentation for importation
  • Delivery Auditing 
    • Partner with Customer Service team to analyze and audit shipping carriers and costs 
    • Audit receipts at the 3PL against expected quantities from the factory
    • Communicate delivery dates for upcoming launches with internal teams and confirm inbound quantities with the 3PL
    • Coordinate with Accounting to ensure vendor and freight invoices are in compliance with purchase orders and vendor quotes
  • Other duties as beneficial to MeatEater
Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of work experience in the areas of manufacturing, logistics, quality control, or other areas related to supply chain
Specialized Knowledge/Skills 
  • Strong written, verbal and oral presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge in Netsuite
  • Creative, proven self-starter
  • Sufficient time management
  • Enjoys working with a variety of different vendors, specifically overseas vendors and third party logistics
  • Experience with freight booking
  • May travel up to 10% of the time to perform the essential duties of this position
