Description

We are in search of a Refuel Attendant that will play a key role in the success of this hotel. If you are experienced, innovative, tenacious, and ready to make your mark we want to hear from you.


This position reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for the following:  

  • Welcome and connect with every customer.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist for hotel restaurant and catered functions.
  • Assists with food quality and presentation maintains cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and restaurant.
  • Accommodates Guests’ special requests.
  • Always adheres to proper food handling and safety guidelines.
  • Maintains and enforces sanitation laws and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen area.
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere.
  • Adheres to proper grooming and dress codes for the department.
  • Must be able to understand the proper use of kitchen equipment and verbal instructions.
  • Prepare food, coffee barista drinks, and other beverages.
  • Perform running side work and opening and closing duties throughout your shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work and service area.
  • Ensure guests are satisfied with the beverage, food, and service.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges, or make change (if applicable).
  • Complete opening and closing duties according to checklists.
  • Teamwork – Offer or ask for help from your fellow team members as situations arise. 
  • Aid in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning, and resetting tables, delivering food to guests, general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Re:Fuel as directed by the manager or immediate supervisor.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The associate is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The associate may frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Requirements
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Operate equipment such as, but not limited to, oven, grill, stove, dishwasher, and utensils.
  • Have or ability to obtain a KCMO Food Handler License within 30 days of hire.
