Job Overview

As a project and purchasing assistant, you will assist the project manager with purchasing and other tasks in order to prepare for projects. This includes communicating with customers, ordering job materials, and other tasks to ensure timely and quality services. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with hours typically falling within Monday through Saturday 7:30 am-5:00 pm at varying locations.

Responsibilities

**This is a new and developing position. Changes are highly likely**

  • Coordinate with Project Manager on project budget, schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Collaborate to manage change requests in order to provide a smooth transition for our clients and employees
  • Monitor project progress to ensure projects are on track for completion and manage labor daily 
  • Order project materials ahead of time to ensure projects are completed as scheduled
  • Communicate with customers as follows:
  • Email customer 1 week before project begins
  • Meet with customer 1 week before project begins
  • Answer questions and provide updates as necessary while project is in progress
  • Schedule and complete final walk through with customer
  • Collect, analyze and maintain accurate data related to projects and report it in a timely manner
  • Actively seek out ways to improve processes and procedures to help us meet our mission and vision
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • 1+ years of purchasing experience or degree in a similar field 
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Knowledge of irrigation, retaining walls, patios, fences, pergolas, fire pits, outdoor kitchens and other general landscaping
  • Knowledge of basic geometry
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Strong oral communication, interpersonal and writing skills
  • Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License and clean MVR
  • Ability to behave in a professional and ethical manner
  • Effectively use a variety of technology tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Aspire, Paylocity, Quickbooks, Macintosh and iOS Operating Systems.
  • Ability to read landscape plans
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Ability to work in direct sunlight and extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist and kneel continuously throughout the day for extended periods of time
  • Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 6 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required)
Salary Description
$20-$25 hourly
