Overview:
The Design Operations Assistant will assist in major seasonal design development and execution activities across all brands.
Key Accountabilities:
- Learn to create Tech Packs throughout the season
- Learn to upload Tech Packs inclusive of spec pages and artwork for Sourcing
- Learn to create Production Tech Packs as needed and upload as necessary
- Gain understanding to be able to work directly with Design, Technical, and Sourcing on all seasonal style specifications
- Attend and observe fittings and help ensure changes/updates are executed within Tech Packs and communicated to Sourcing/Overseas Offices
- Participate in the creation of seasonal color palettes with Design and prepare color standards and facilitate sending these to Overseas Offices
- Learn to handle daily communication with Overseas Offices/Factories to resolve issues in a concise and timely manner
- Communicate on workload and elevate issues
- Attend Daily Team meetings and Training sessions
- Special projects as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities/Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Product Development or related field
- 1+ years of experience in the fashion industry as an Assistant or Associate
- Excellent Excel skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
- Must be a strategic thinker, persuasive and collaborative
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign)
