Shodair is searching for a Behavioral Intervention Specialist (BIS) to join our amazing School Based Services team at Helena Middle School!  Behavioral Intervention Specialists provide direct care, supervision, monitoring, and interaction to students in a school-based setting in partnership with the CSCT therapist.  

The ideal Behavioral Intervention Specialist candidate is someone who:

• Passionate about mental health 
• Enjoys teaching social skills and emotional regulation
• Able to work with patients of all different backgrounds
• Can be a role model to students and provide individualized care
• Excited about serving Montana’s youth!

Behavioral Intervention Specialists get to work directly with a therapist every day and learn the ins and outs of mental health therapy.

  EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or a related field is preferred however a high school diploma or GED and two years of experience working with SED youth will also be considered.
• Criminal Records Background Check, Statement of Health, and drug test required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

• Successful completion of Medication Aide training upon hire.
