Description

The Consulting Network Engineer is a core position in our organization that works as a liaison between our technical implementation and sales team developing various Technology Solutions and Networks in a Pre- and Post-Sales Support environment for our rapidly expanding customer base. This role focuses on the development of those solutions and interfacing with clients to help them understand the technical components of new and existing endeavors or projects. 


In a highly collaborative team environment, this position will stay up-to-date with current technological trends and successfully establish ongoing relationships with clients, co-workers, business partners and outsourced vendors, as necessary, to help facilitate the delivery of technology focused products and services. Along with staying abreast of competitor offerings, the position will also be responsible to help coordinate projects and proposals related to 3rd party providers and customers as needed. 


Essential Functions


Pre-Sales Responsibilities:

o Assist sales team through preparation and delivery of technical presentations and statements of work by matching specific client business requirements with effective technical solutions.

o Educates prospects on product implementation and usage and answers their technical and security questions.

o Participate in consultations and/or product capability assessments with prospects.

o Create relationships with key decision makers and serve as external technical liaison.

o Perform other tasks as needed and/or requested.


Post-Sales Responsibilities:

o Work directly with customer contacts to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues associated with CAI supported hardware and software. 

o When a solution requires additional expertise, provide customer assistance by escalating and reproducing the problem to internal technical sources until a solution is reached.

o Provide customer feedback to executive and technical teams to participate in functionality roadmap planning.

o Document technical articles or knowledgebase for use by other technical support personnel and/or customers and partners.

o Perform other tasks as needed and/or requested.



Requirements

Education and Experience:


o Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or Information Systems field and 5+ years of related information systems experience.

o 5 years of overall infrastructure / technology experience with 3 years’ work experience in the Telecommunications, Voice/Phone Systems, General Infrastructure or Server and PC area. Certifications are highly encouraged, especially in voice communication platforms.

o Strong Experience or Aptitude for Sales Methods / Revenue Generation Mentality.

o Strong Client Interface experience and aptitude is critical

o Ability to work in an environment which may require: 

· Sitting for extended periods of time. 

· Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools and to handle other computer components. 

· Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings.

· Lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
