Job Responsibilities
As Director of Business Development, you will utilize value selling techniques and will be a trusted advisor to our clients. Your role includes full life-cycle sales process from sales strategy to prospecting, closing and client growth.
Your specific duties will include:
- Creating a personal sales strategy and execution plan
- Effectively articulating Mind Over Machines’ value proposition
- Building and developing successful customer relationships via a consultative sales process
- Enhancing customer loyalty and perception of Mind Over Machines by overseeing the overall health of the client relationship and customer satisfaction
- Executing on transactional and strategic initiatives to grow Mind Over Machines presence in the Mid-Atlantic Region
- Creatively identifying and prospecting into new client accounts while uncovering business issues to provide innovative technology solutions
- Developing and managing sales pipeline activity
- Building strong internal and external partnerships focused on successful client outcomes
- Partnering with our highly knowledgeable Delivery team to facilitate client meetings and proposals; effectively communicating client needs and Mind Over Machines service offerings
- Effectively utilizing the CRM to manage your pipeline and workflow between Sales and Delivery
- Keeping up-to-date on market trends
As Director of Business Development, you must combine a strong desire to make a positive difference with your passion for technology and a strong comfort level in having in-depth, consultative discussions with C-Suite business leaders. You must also be willing to embrace and take full advantage of your ability to be a key player in developing market presence outside of Maryland.
Specific qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent related experience
- Minimum 8 years’ experience selling technology solutions and professional services in the commercial market
- Self-starter and highly motivated with a competitive “hunter” mentality
- Exceptional consultative selling abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to expand your technological knowledge
- Availability to travel and work overtime as necessary
- Demonstrated success in lead generation through heavy phone/email cold/warm calling/prospecting, solutions selling
- Demonstrated success in sales negotiation
- Demonstrated success in setting realistic expectations and achieving goals
- Excellent time management and follow-through skills
- Excellent computer skills – MS Office, CRM, LinkedIn, etc.
