Description
Position Summary: Housekeeping shift crew leading is a part-time position employed by Music and Event Management Incorporated (MEMI). 1st and 2nd shift available based on show needs. This position is responsible for managing a small group who maintain and cleans VIP and backstage areas at Riverbend Music Center according to department guidelines. We are looking for detail-oriented people who can work with small groups in a fast-paced, ever-changing, environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the detailed cleanliness of VIP areas, including bathrooms, during shows
- Cleaning includes (but not limited to) sanitizing, scrubbing, sweeping, moping, and stocking of VIP areas based on needs that arise during concerts
- Cleaning walls, windows, and mirrors according to department procedures
- Dispose of trash and waste, including biohazardous waste and other materials, in accordance with facility policies
- Follow directives from tour personnel
- Adhere to checklists with little supervision
- Tidying of flower beds and pots in the form of weeding, occasional trimming, and watering
- Responsible for managing 2-4 employees in a fast-paced environment
- Active listening and talking via radio communication
- Assist with laundry as needed
- Effectively manage stock distribution
- Convey information to designated manager
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Prior management experience preferred, but not required
- Extremely high attention to detail
- Willingness to work outdoors and in various weather conditions, especially heat and rain, for a majority of an 8-hour shift
- Understanding and willingness to work around events including weekends, nights, and some holidays
- Ability to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift
- Capability to lift up to 25lbs
- Ability to work in small groups of up to 5 people
- Capability to talk over radio
Available Shifts:
- Start times: 1st shift: 7am-12pm, 2nd shift: 4pm-5:30pm, schedule based on needs of shows
- Duration: 8 hours
Pay: starting $16/hr
