Itential, a fast-growing Atlanta-based SaaS technology company, is expanding and as part of this expansion we have been retained to lead a search for an upwardly mobile Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Controller you will support internal and external reporting, including annual audit, tax, and month-end close.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with established schedules
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
  • Work as a team with other in standardizing practices and procedures
  • Consolidations
  • Value-add projects to identify and implement efficiencies that result in cost savings
  • Professional service project accounting using Percentage of Completion
  • Revenue recognition under ASC 606
  • Backup for other accounting functions
  • Special accounting research and tax projects as needed

Qualifications and Desired Traits

  • 3-8 years of accounting experience in a corporate or CPA firm setting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (with accounting coursework)
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies
  • Inquisitive, resourceful, and takes initiative to resolve issues and provide outstanding customer service to employees and business partners
  • Ability to act independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
  • Strong attention to detail, adept at multitasking, and able to meet financial reporting deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Sense of humor

Preferences

  • Candidates local to Atlanta 
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • QuickBooks (Preferably QuickBooks Online) – will be moving to Oracle NetSuite
  • Intermediate experience with NetSuite, Salesforce & Ariba
  • Two-years' experience working at a CPA firm

Details on Hybrid-First Flex Time Work Arrangement

  • This is a hybrid-first working arrangement where you will work remotely most of the time, after being fully onboarded. Onboarding includes only 1-2 days working in-office for team training and meeting company executives and our flex time option allows for flexibility in choosing your work hours (standard hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm).  
  • After a short period, this position is primarily full-time remote, other than in-office two-hour biweekly departmental meetings, or as other needs arise (not to exceed 1-2 days/week).
  • This position is contract or temp to hire.
