To add value to the corn production of the area and enhance the incomes of our investor partners while providing economic growth to the area we serve. 

General Position Summary: Responsible for the leadership and coordination in areas of commodity accounting, corporate accounting, regulatory reporting and general administration. Assists with the financial affairs of the organization by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures including internal control protocol.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record and report procedures of commodity and business transactions.
  • Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions.
  • Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities including but not limited to commodity reporting, inventory management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, operational performance.
  • Prepare, analyze and submit varying reports internally and for external reporting.
  • Professionally and timely interface with audit firms, vendors, shipping companies, organizational departments and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare payroll and ensure accuracy of timecards. 
  • Participate in various stages throughout the employee life cycle including annual employment reviews, counseling forms and meetings, exit interviews and separation of employment. 
  • Works closely with insurance broker and various insurance providers to design benefits package available to employees and administers renewal of benefits. 
  • Contributes to the management of membership records including processing of unit transfers, issuing distributions to members, preparing various mailings throughout the year and coordination of member and director meetings.
  • Protect operations and company responsibilities by keeping financial information and plans confidential. 
  • Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed in a self-directed fashion while focusing on continuous improvement in all aspects of the job.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

  • Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, cost accounting and commodity hedge knowledge.

 Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance required. 
  • Must have minimum experience level of five years or more in finance, accounting, payroll, or related areas.

Language Requirements:

  • The primary language of Golden Grain Energy is English. Excellent communication skills are defined as the ability to: 
  • Actively listen for total comprehension.
  • Ask questions that enhance the understanding  of a certain topic.
  • Relay information and/or instruction in a  descriptive and understandable fashion in both written and verbal forms.

Reasoning Requirements:

  • Professional-level, reasoning abilities are necessary to process complex information, delegate duties, and prioritize deadlines.

Physical Requirements: 

· Ability to lift 10-15 lbs.

· Sitting up to 8 hours in front of a computer.

Employment Status: 

This position is exempt and full time. These positions at Golden Grain Energy LLC require at least 40 hours. Occasionally, time over 40 hours may be necessary in order to meet the requirements of the position. They are considered full time, paid an annual salary, and are eligible for all employee benefits.
