Description

In the broadest sense, it is the Forest Highlands Security Officer’s duty to endeavor to protect all persons and property within the confines of Forest Highlands Golf Club. 


Specifically, the duties and functions may include but are not limited to the following.


· Enforce Forest Highland's rules and regulations;

· Observe and report unsafe, illegal, irregular, or unusual conditions;

· Attempt to correct or report to proper authorities in the event of unsafe or illegal activities;

· Observe, control and document guest/visitor entry into Forest Highlands’ property;

· Utilize the dwellingLIVE guest management system as described in the manual;

· Maintain key control; lock and unlock facilities and residences, and monitor alarms;

· Properly monitor and dispatch appropriate authorities and/or physically respond (if necessary) to alarms from residences and Association buildings in Forest Highlands;

· Provide security and visitor escorts;

· Patrol Forest Highlands residential areas, property, and facilities;

· Enforce speed limits on Forest Highlands’ property, using radar and issue citations to violators;

· Provide assistance to law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel;

· Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid, crowd control, communications assistance, or any other assistance as prescribed by the Director;

· Provide directions, information and assistance as appropriate;

· Participate in the Housewatch program as instructed by the shift supervisor;

· Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly workplace; and

· Other duties as required by the shift supervisor


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

· Position is in a busy private golf residential community;

· Flexibility in schedule;

· Ability to lift up to 25lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally;

· Must be able to frequently walk, sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop kneel, crouch, adjust vision accordingly (close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception);

· Exposed to outside weather conditions including low temperatures;

· Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and a quiet work environment;

· Continuous ability to talk and hear; and

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.


Minimum Requirements:

· Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills;

· Must be self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude;

· Organized, able to work in a busy environment where priorities change;

· Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy times while working flexible hours with an enthusiastic personality;

· Valid Driver License with clean Motor Vehicle Record; and

· Must be reliable


Preferred Requirements:

· 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;

· Ability to operate vehicles, to include 4WD equipped vehicles;

· Ability to use computers and learn software related to alarm monitoring software;

· Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards; and

· CPR/First Aid and AED certified

Starting Pay $19.10 ($20.10 after successful completion of 6 months service)
