The Sales Executive is the executer of the Sales Process, in coordination with our Customer Journey and the PURIS Strategy for future PURIS customers. By creating high engagement with New Accounts, across all product lines, leveraging PURIS Solutions Consultants (Technical, Environmental, Marketing and Product), the Sales Executive will drive discovery of the suite of PURIS products and value offerings to enhance growth in Revenue and GM. The Sales Executive is the heartbeat of PURIS Prospects needs and shares those needs back to the Product and Marketing teams. The Sales Executive convinces PURIS Prospects to Buy our Products, Ideas and Services at Prices that we love. 


The Sales Executive secondarily will also “Land and Expand” deals by growing PURIS Accounts YOY gross margin by executing the Sales Process with current customers assigned to Sales Executive and accounts landed.

Summary of Essential Job Functions: 

  • Sales Exec is accountable to move Qualified Leads through Sales Process, Learning, Recommendations, Cross Selling, Integrations and Deal Close while navigating the organization and enabling PURIS Sales Team to collaborate with Lead.
  • Sales Exec is accountable to close new business volume, revenue and GM of PURIS Ingredient products (protein, starches, fibers, flours, screenings, culls and extruded products) reaching monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts are met
  • Accountable to understand and make reality the Strategic Plan by convincing customers to buy PURIS Ingredient Products
  • Accountable to report deal status & sales forecast as needed by Sales leader and maintaining up to date CRM
  • Partner with PURIS Product Team to enable smooth Account Project Management keeping the customer and PURIS team on pace to deliver value to customer. 
  • Sales Exec is account to “Land” and “Expand” on Closed deals to increase topline and Gross Margin on accounts
  • Accountable to report trends, market insights and customer information cross-functionally within product, marketing, operations and R&D to bring new product ideas forward.

For Assigned Accounts: 

  • Accountable to Grow PURIS current volume, revenue, GM and overall Value Creation enabling the Customer and PURIS to win on the marketplace.  Products: All PURIS Ingredients.  Services: Cross sell R&D Briefs, Environmental Stewardship Collaborations, Marketing Collaborations, Joint Product Development, PURIS.io technical service. 
  • Accountable for Executing PURIS [Account Success Process] and consultation to drive deep engagement of PURIS accounts growth
  • Accountable to learn market & account insights to share internally and externally through high touch customer interactions.
  • Accountable to Identify new growth opportunities for Accounts while developing pricing strategies in unison with Product Team
  • Accountable to manage, monitor, analyze and report Account contract status, business trends, insights, and competitive set to drive decision making for value creation 
  • Actively lead Account Growth Strategy and Communication with all stakeholders both PURIS and customer
  • Accountable to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships to gain insights on performance and growth YOY.
  • Partner with PURIS Product Team to enable smooth Account Project Management keeping the customer and PURIS team on pace to deliver value to customer. 
  • Accountable to negotiate and close current and future business with Customer
Requirements

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years experience in sales environment

Required Skills and Capabilities:

  • Computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Organizational skills, including filing and sorting
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Data interpretation
  • Customer service skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel 30-40%
  • Must have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time working on the computer
