I. Position

Seasonal Food and Beverage Pub Bartender (Early May- Mid October)

Part-Time Seasonal, Hourly, Non-Exempt

III. Job Summary

To promptly greet and serve all guests at the Irish Pub, which includes providing exceptional hospitality and guest experience. The hours are from 3:30pm- 11:30pm, ending hours may vary depending on business volume.

Requirements

IV. Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in the restaurant or club industry
  • Knowledgeable of craft cocktails, beer, wine and spirits
  • Experienced with keg and soda systems
  • Experience in cash handling and Point of Sale System
  • Required to stand for long periods of time
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, squat, lift and raise as needed along with carrying 10 pounds for an extended distance
  • General math skills, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Must have completed Responsible Beverage Training Course
  • Ability to communicate with guests and employees with a positive attitude


V. Responsibilities & Duties

  • Consult check list to endure bar area is properly set up and ready for bar service
  • Clean and organize all patios and fire pits
  • Check tee sheets and daily events for detailed charging information including Google Docs
  • Make rounds to Drumlin putting course and Caddie barn during service hours
  • Ensure guests are enjoying their bar experience by table touch
  • Stay updated on current clubhouse menu choices, specialty cocktails, beer, wine and spirit selections
  • Accurately prepare mixed drinks, beer and wine for guests while adhering to portion control standards put in place by management
  • Ensure guests receive beverages in a timely manner
  • Effectively handle guest complaints or problems with a positive attitude
  • Handle all payments accurately
  • Ensure all radio communication is respectful, professional and courteous
  • Properly and fully complete all side-work duties
  • Ability to communicate history, products and services of Erin Hills
  • Adhere to safety regulations as provided by Erin Hills and OSHA
  • Responsibly check guests’ identification to ensure that they meet the minimum age requirements to consume alcoholic beverages
  • Respectfully refuse beverage service to guests whom appear overly intoxicated and inform management immediately
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
