ABOUT THE ROLE

The Program Manager, Marketing, will support the development and delivery of integrated marketing strategies for the CIS licensed partnership strategy. The CIS licensed partnership strategy seeks to expand to new communities in states where CIS does not have a presence in order to support with training and technical assistance and invite them into the CIS network. This position will play an integral role in executing a branding and marketing strategy to connect and engage with new school districts and other state and local education entities. This position will also ensure the licensed partnerships branding and marketing strategy is aligned with the national/local CIS brand voice and visual identity in a consistent, recognizable, and memorable way. This position will also provide direct communications support/guidance to licensed partners.


PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns for licensed partnerships including advertising campaigns, storytelling, events, and digital fundraising activities.
  • Develop internal and external communications, including press releases, org. statements, reports, key messages, and other promotional content.
  • Execute a B2C and B2B marketing campaigns with goals, audiences, strategies, tactics, and metrics for success.
  • Support the fulfillment process of the CIS National Office Ramp Up professional development strategy to include management of trainer cadre.
  • Work across functions within Marketing and Communications in order to integrate overall campaign and program objectives
  • Design and organize school district learning and engagement opportunities to generate and track relationships new school districts, e.g., webinars, etc.
Requirements

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and a minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and background in full suite of marketing tactics to include digital, advertising creation and placement, creative development.
  • Basic understanding of the core issue areas in K-12 education.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated success in media placements and executing integrated marketing campaigns
  • Demonstrated strength and proven track record in project management.
  • A willingness to learn and a flexibility to shift as priorities shift.
  • Able to build positive relationships with your colleagues and are willing to help others.
  • Excited to work with people who have different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives from your own.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Understanding of the principles of fundraising and communications for nonprofits highly desired.
  • Proven success in campaign strategy, framework, development, and execution across multichannel campaigns.
  • Proven client leader with ability to guide a team of performance marketers.
  • Ability to synthesize business objectives, create a well-aligned Integrated Campaign strategy and execution plans with clearly defined metrics and KPIs.
  • Strong analytical mindset, combined with a creative and strategic framework to design and optimize engaging and empathetic campaigns that resonate with nonprofit constituents.
  • Strong knowledge of implementation in digital marketing channels both earned and paid.
  • Strong presentation, problem-solving, and budget management skills.
  • Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

CIS staff continue to work in a virtual environment; however, the national office is open and available for staff to use as appropriate.
