Description

Itential is seeking a Customer Success Engineer to join our growing Customer Success Team. This candidate will be an experienced professional with expertise in building client relationships and understanding technical needs to foster strong platform adoption.

The ideal candidate is one who has experience with network or automation technologies, passionate about solving customer needs, strong technical, problem solving and communications skills, and excellent judgement when engaging directly with customers. Additionally, this candidate should have the ability to learn new technologies and communicate those concepts to customers with varying degrees of technical expertise. As the voice of the customer, you will also work closely with the Product Management, Sales and Professional Services teams in promoting a Product Centric culture within Itential.


Customer Success Engineers’ Focus

  • Become an expert in the Itential Automation Platform (IAP) and how it is used to accomplish infrastructure automation, integration and orchestration goals
  • Facilitate enablement sessions with customers (via web meeting) to help them brainstorm or troubleshoot how to solve specific problems that they are working on
  • Within IAP, build examples, test specific scenarios or investigate the best way to weild the platform to solve a specific problem that the customer presents
  • Coach customer on best practices within Itential’s platform by leveraging tight internal partnerships with Product Management and DSUP (Delivery Support)

Software Development Responsibilities


Limited software development (coding) may be needed from time to time. If full-time development and coding responsibilities are desired, please explore open positions in Itential’s development teams.


Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Real-world experience on customer-facing software projects is preferred 
  • Working knowledge of modern IT infrastructure – physical/virtual servers, network devices, and related infrastructure lifecycle processes (deployment, configuration, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience working with JSON and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience and Proficiency with Javascript, Python, bash scripting, and/or Java
  • Familiarity or experience with the following technologies is desired - Ansible, Python, Terraform, MongoDB, Linux environments, public cloud IaaS (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Agile methodology and technical lead experience would be advantageous
  • Strong data modeling and data manipulation/transformation skills
  • Problem solving attitude & collaborate with teams effectively
