Position: Production + Inventory Control Team Member

Job Overview:
The Production + Inventory Control team member will be primarily responsible for inventory integrity - maintaining accurate records of the organization’s inventory, including, but not limited to designing, implementing, and facilitating the full-cycle inventory tracking process in coordination with members of our Finance and Operations departments. This role will be a member of our production team, reporting to the Production Supervisor but interacting with various levels of the organization to ensure accuracy between the fulfillment process on our manufacturing floor and our software systems. The ideal candidate will be a detailed oriented, analytical thinker who is adept at solving complex problems and takes initiative to generate process efficiencies. The Production + Inventory Control team member, similar to Production Team Members, spend the majority of their time in the production and shipping areas of the operations floor. In addition, this person will work with the Production Supervisor and Assistant supervisor in ordering, weekly and quarterly cycle counting, and maintaining packaging, E-Commerce, and related materials for the needs of the production team. This role will utilize Lean concepts as well as replenishment tools and procedures for helping with material supply flow within the department. Additionally, this job requires endurance and consistency throughout the work day. Team Members generally work Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm; however these hours can vary on lighter or heavier production days. Successful team members are physically able to meet the demands of the job, be punctual, coachable, and resourceful. Operations team members are also engaged in our business by contributing to meetings and goal-setting and also by building their coffee knowledge and skill sets.
Regarding the work environment: the warehouse has some climate control features but is heavily influenced by the environment; therefore it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The candidate must be able to multitask and perform effectively with frequent and varied distractions in a noisy environment.
Job Duties:
- Maintains consistent stock of inventory, including billed materials handling, and ordering new stock up to the pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles
- Fulfill, update work orders and reconcile production and shipment activity
- Perform inventory adjustments
- Coordinate efforts with the team to continually strive for optimal inventory best practices
- Create saved searches and reports, modify work orders, assembly builds, sales orders, and item fulfillments in the Netsuite system
- Provides inventory reports to all necessary stakeholders
- Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with cross functional departments
- Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made
- Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to the related databases and/or software under the direction of Finance
- Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory
- Leads cycle counts
- Assists with physical inventory audits
- Operates forklift truck when necessary
- Assist with adjustments and ad-hoc counts when inventory discrepancies are identified
- Generate continuous inventory process improvements
- Performs other related duties as requested

90-Day Goals:
- Obtain proficient understanding of NetSuite as it relates to specific job duties
- Complete Operator certification (introduction to our products, process, & forklift operation)
- Shadow Roasting & Production associates to understand our processes (2 weeks)
- Perform inventory adjustments for usage items
- Ensure timely and accurate PO Receipts and work with Finance to resolve any variances
- Ensure inventory properly labeled
- Effective manage sales order fulfillment process ensuring work orders for Production & Shipping are accurately updated and variances researched and resolved
- Assist with moving to bin location control in NS
