JOB SUMMARY

This position is operating a slitter rewinder of our commercial vinyl product. The operator is responsible for cutting the product to meet the customer order as well as inspecting the goods for superior quality set forth by York Wallcoverings standards.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Responsible for all reporting that is necessary to complete the job
• Must follow inspection process to ensure quality product will get to the customer
• Maintain the physical condition of all equipment including the commercial slitter
• Assist other operators in the team environment
• Responsible for adhering to all company policies and procedures
• Complete duties and tasks as assigned
• Work overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays
• Other duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Mechanically inclined      

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to stand, stoop, squat, bend, pivot/twist, balance, and climb.
• Must be able to lift at least 41 lbs. floor to waist OCCASIONAL, lift at least 28 lbs. knuckle to shoulder OCCASIONAL, carry at least 41 lbs. OCCASIONAL, and push and pull at least 33 lbs. of force OCCASIONAL.
• Must pass a physical demands test

MENTAL/VISUAL DEMANDS

You must demonstrate the following sensory requirements in order to perform manual tasks: color discrimination, depth perception, near vision, field vision, hearing sensitivity, tactile discrimination, and interacting with others.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work activities occur in an inside workspace where extreme heat and cold may occur. There are fans for ventilation.
