The Sr. Lead, Procurement Specialist Identifies suppliers of goods and services for the Company with consideration to cost, quality, lead time, business continuity, and diversity. 


  • Point person for the solicitation and preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Request for Information (RFIs) 
  • Lead collaboration with stakeholders and internal teams - Partner with stakeholders, executive leaders and department heads to understand business needs. Then, establish requirements, scope and criteria for procurement projects. 
  • Manage vendor selection - Lead initial market research and vendor profiles to aid supplier selection. Create, issue and manage RFPs in a digital RFP management system. Manage proposal evaluation and final vendor selection. 
  • Build ongoing vendor relationships - Use vendor management best practices throughout negotiation, contracting, onboarding and renewal. Conduct regular vendor performance evaluation and supplier risk assessments. 
  • Analyze procurement data - Collect and interpret procurement data including cost analysis reporting, benchmarking spends, RFP data and return on investment. 
  • Optimize procurement processes -Perform regular reviews of established procurement processes to ensure continuous improvement, by refining policies, due diligence questionnaires and RFP templates 
  • Work with Internal Stakeholders to Identify ways to consolidate or produce cost savings 
  • Inputs purchasing data to ensure automated purchasing procedures 
  • Oversees implementation of procurement tools and updates 
  • Works with the Legal department to ensure any contractual obligations are favorable to the company 
  • Assists with opportunity assessment of major categories and cost of ownership opportunities. 
  • Ensures that all Vendor Management information is entered into procurement tools efficiently and timely. 
  • Prepares ad hoc reporting, real-time generation of standard and customized reports


  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Purchasing, RFP’s, and Procurement or overall business experience and is familiar with concepts related to vendor management, supply chain, or procurement functions within a Services-Based environment. 
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required 
  • Advanced knowledge of methods, practices, and techniques of contract negotiations in complex or highly technical environments. 
  • Advanced knowledge of purchasing and procedures Uses cost-benefit thinking to set priorities. 
  • Technology Management: Makes effective use of technology to achieve results. 
  • Ability to identify problems and develop intuitive solutions 
  • The ability to perform within timelines and other constraints 
  • The ability to work cross functionally with all Internal departments daily. 
  • The ability to analyze and draw conclusions from datasets even when data is limited 
  • Ability to create extensive reporting in excel or other reporting tools quickly and efficiently 
  • Ability to anticipate and meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
