Facilities Technician
Howard Lake, MN Maintenance

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintain the facilities, buildings, and equipment of Dura Supreme as well as an active member of the overall Maintenance Department. This position will be building, grounds, and infrastructure focused. Please note that when it is slow, the expectation is they help normal maintenance alongside their other workload. This position could also involve odd hours, since they are responsible for monitoring the security systems as well as a portion of snow removal. 

It is not uncommon, during snow events to start between 2 am – 3 am to ensure grounds are clear by 6 am 

Pay is negotiable based on experience. 

Hourly position 40+ per week 

Saturday work may also be involved especially during equipment installs or as maintenance load dictates.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the maintenance of the building, grounds, plant facilities, including parking lots.
  2. Contracts with, and supervises, applicable outside contractors associated with facilities repairs.
  3. Monitors and maintains electronic security and surveillance system.
  4. Assists with developing budgets for upcoming repairs.
  5. Communicates with vendors to obtain quotes, services, etc
  6. Logs work and maintains information in maintenance related software.
  7. Assists with manufacturing equipment repairs.
  8. Assists with installation of new equipment.
  9. Coordinates and assists with snow removal operations.
  • High School education and one-year related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mechanical and Electrical work experience.
  • Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Able to work well with frequently changing priorities and/or situations.
  • Self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both internally and externally.
