The Port offers the following benefits to full-time employees (30 hours per week or more), and to part-time employees working 20 hours or more per week on a regular basis. Medical and dental premiums are paid in full by the Port for employee and family.  For part-time employees, the Port pays the employee premium, and the employee can opt to add and pay premiums for dependents.


Medical: 

  • WA State’s Public Employees Benefits Board (PEBB), choice of 9 plans, Port paid premiums
  • Port HSA/VEBA contribution with choice of high deductible plan
  • HRA plan for co-insurance reimbursement 

Dental:

  • Port paid premiums
  • Preventative care 100%, Basic care 80%, Major care 50%, Orthodontia 50% to $1,000 max

Life and AD&D:

  • $50,000 Port-paid term life insurance
  • Optional supplemental coverage available

Long-Term Disability:

  • Port paid premium
  • 60% of salary after 90 day waiting period up to $5,000/mo.

Retirement:

  • Washington State Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), Plans 2 or 3 
  • Optional Deferred Compensation Plan

Leave Plans:

  • Vacation: 12 days minimum, 28 days maximum accrual
  • Sick Leave: 12 days per year
  • Holidays: 12 days per year
  • Paid Parental Leave: 8 weeks at 80% pay 
  • Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML), Port voluntary plan in compliance with WA State law
