Subway Shift Leader
Description

SUMMARY OF JOB: The Shift Leader provides the management support of all operations in the absence of the Subway Manager. To accomplish these tasks, the Shift Leader works closely with the Manager, Sandwich Artists, and customers. 


DAILY DUTIES:

  1. Give fast, friendly customer service.
  2. Effectively communicates with all customers.
  3. Adhere to all product formulas. 
  4. Follow proper procedures for retarding, proofing, and baking of all breads.
  5. Prepare all back-up products utilizing the correct equipment to perform each duty.
  6. Operate all equipment according to manufactures and Subway regulations.
  7. Accurately perform daily inventory counts utilizing the proper forms provided.
  8. Understand and adhere to all Subway and county Health and Safety policies regarding the proper handling of food.
  9. Proper hand washing
  10. Proper glove usage
  11. Maintain products within the proper food temperature zones
  12. Proper storage of all foods according to product type
  13. Mark times and dates of opened and prepared food products
  14. Daily evaluation of products to remove outdated items
  15. Accurately perform and record temperatures of products on the designated temperature food logs at least once per shift.
  16. Provide for corrective actions for all products within the temperature danger zone
  17. Receive delivery from approved distributor and accurately account for every item on invoice.
  18. Adhere to all uniform policies.
  19. Maintain and account for all product inventory.
  20. Assemble products for customers when it is ordered.
  21. Accurately perform money transactions on the register.
  22. Properly use time clock to record all duty time.
  23. Finalize shift paperwork.
  24. Sweep and mop floors.
  25. Clean Restrooms.
  26. Attend store meetings.
  27. Empty trash containers inside and outside of the store.
  28. Clean sidewalks and parking lot areas.
  29. Complete all food adjustments.
  30. Other duties as assigned by the Subway Manager.


Requirements

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are to be performed in the absence of or as requested by the Subway Manager.

  1. Ensures that all activities conform to Trexcon policies and procedures.
  2. Communicate effectively and appropriately with all staff members.
  3. React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned. Remains flexible in daily routine.
  4. Support the mission statement of Trexcon.
  5. Give fast, friendly customer service.
  6. Finalize daily paperwork.
  7. Develop work schedules for Sandwich Artists maintaining total hours at or below the budget hours for that location.
  8. Organize training of new employees.
  9. Read and respond to email or intra-mail on a daily basis.
  10. Reconcile Sandwich Artists time cards and payroll reports and submit to the Home Office as per policy.
  11. Order products from approved vendors.
  12. Establish communication with Home Office Personnel to assist with procedural issues.
  13. Establish communications with the Maintenance Department to assist with repairs.
  14. Keep the building clean and in working order.
  15. Attend management team meetings.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:


  1. Requires prolonged standing.
  2. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift over 10 lbs., carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
  3. Occasional stooping, bending, reaching and climbing ladders and step stools.
  4. Requires some travel.


Salary Description
$15.00, negotiable based on experience
