WorldatWork is looking for an Instructional Design specialist. If you live and breathe learning, we want to talk to you. We are looking for an instructional designer to design, develop, revise, and maintain our courses and their learning assets across our educational offerings. In this position you will be responsible for creating and revising learning objectives, learning materials (courses, agendas, student guides, faculty guides, and others) including meaningful activities and assessments aligned with the WorldatWork learning experience. You will also be generating content in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts and collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts, graphic designers, copy editors, and others throughout the development process.
You should understand instructional design theory and have a strong eye for detail across multiple layers of learning assets. You will work on the Learning Experience team and collaborate with Faculty, Content Managers, Copy Editors, and vendors to complete materials on time.

You have:
- Experience in instructional design, learning design, education, or learning related field (BS preferred)
- 2-5 years proven working experience in instructional design, learning design, or education
- Experience developing learning materials (courses, agendas, student guides, faculty guides, and more) for adult learners across in-person, online, and hybrid learning experiences (associations/non-profits preferred)
- Experience collaborating with internal and external subject matter experts, graphic designers, copy editors, and others throughout the development process.
- Working knowledge of assessment and evaluation to measure the effectiveness of the instructional materials and making revisions as necessary.
- Proven ability to source and utilize verified information to create course materials.
- Familiarity with utilizing brand guides and style guides as a framework for development
- Working knowledge of accessibility, usability, and copyright in learning
- Experience using an LMS to develop synchronous and asynchronous learning materials (Canvas preferred).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and utilizing applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint
- Experience working in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, with a learner-centered approach.
- Proactive in managing workload and gathering necessary information to produce high quality work
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An excellent eye for detail
- Ability to work independently, with little supervision, after orientation and training
- Demonstrate a learner-focused growth mindset
At WorldatWork, we offer a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package. The hiring range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus with a target at 5% of base salary. This position may be worked remotely.
