Facilities Maintenance Technician

Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs for ACI Jet’s facilities, buildings and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in one or more of the industry-standard trades regarding building maintenance (electrical, lighting, plumbing, drywall, HVAC, etc.) and will maintain a positive, professional and productive relationship with ACI Jet’s employees, vendors, and clients.


Reports To

The Facility Maintenance Tech will report directly to the Facilities Maintenance Lead.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management)

  • Ensure that the goals and objectives of the Facilities department are achieved and carried out in accordance with applicable policies and procedures
  • Perform standard preventative maintenance and repairs of ACI Jet’s facilities, buildings and equipment. Typical skills required for this position include:
    • Electrical - 120VAC and 12VDC wiring, knowledge of basic circuitry, breaker location, outlets, light switches, plugs, splicing, cover plates, basic use of multimeter and other industry standard electrical tools, etc.
    • Lighting - Fixture replacement, LED upgrading/installation, lighting timers, ballast bypassing, etc.
    • Plumbing - Drain, P-trap and supply line repairs, fixture installation (faucets, sinks, urinals, toilets), drain cleaning (snaking and chemical cleaners), angle stops, hot water heaters, etc.
    • Drywall - Patchwork, mudding, sanding, painting, etc.
    • HVAC - Thermostat installation, repair and management, filter replacement, basic troubleshooting of system, minor ductwork, etc.
  • Industry Standard Tool and Equipment Knowledge - Candidates are expected to have a basic operating knowledge of and experience with all basic tools and equipment related to the performance of the above responsibilities
  • Observe appearances and conditions of premises and equipment and report needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services to Facilities Lead
  • Use company vehicle to retrieve supplies and materials necessary for completion of duties and projects that are required for facility maintenance
  • Ensures all ACI Jet maintenance requests are responded to in a timely and professional manner using ACI Jet approved project tracking and communication platforms
  • Ensures the safety and quality of all assigned duties and responsibilities by actively and positively participating in ACI Jet’s SQMS program
  • May be called on to assist with GSE (Ground Support Equipment) vehicle repair assignments
  • Manage stock and inventory of Facilities department tools, parts and supplies on a regular basis
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and independently, in a high stress and fast paced environment
  • Must be a highly motivated and organized
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, sit, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States

Highly Desirable

  • Facility maintenance and repairs (1+ years)
  • Equipment repair (1+ years)
  • Welding experience (MIG and Stick)

Pay: $21.50 - $32.00/hr | DOE
