Description
Oversee production groups to ensure that assembly operations are functioning in a safe, efficient manner in order to produce quality product on time. Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-produce products by performing the following duties. This position may require overtime to include weekends.
Requirements
- Assigns workers to various stations in the department based on production schedule and production needs. Troubleshoot production quality problems as needed. Adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Performs Continuous Improvement walks and recommends improvements to production methods or equipment. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Suggests methods of motivating employees to achieve work goals.
- Places parts in specified relationship to each other according to work instructions and/or prints that are provided. Updates work instructions as procedures change.
- Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together and performs quality inspection of completed parts. Packs completed parts.
- Works at different work stations as production needs require and maintains organization of work areas.
- Reworks parts for assembly as required.
- Conducts month-end inventory of completed and in-process parts.
