Description

The Account Manager strategically collaborates with companies to meet their supply chain and logistical needs. Playing a key role in all aspects of customer communication, creating long-term relationships with the existing accounts you manage, and establishing new relationships with prospective customers. You will be empowered to expand services, increase efficiency, and maximize profitability throughout Becker’s service offerings. The Account Manager will need to have proven freight skills, experience, and a strong team mentality. 


This role offers a starting salary between $50,000 and $60,000 per year, along with a strong incentive plan. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan (no company match).


Responsibilities:  

  • Ability to communicate, build rapport with, and influence multiple levels of an organization. 
  • Work closely with your Team daily to effectively manage and prioritize your day to ensure that all tasks are completed in an efficient manner. 
  • Develop an overview of each customer and identify all possible opportunities in transportation. 
  • Organically grow your customers to multiple loads per week. 
  • Quarterly business review calls. 
  • Identify and cross sell all of Becker’s service offerings including all modes of transportation to customers.  
  • Leverage referrals with shippers, consignees, and customers to earn new opportunities and expand our network.  
  • Engage with prospective customers and identify opportunities to generate sales discovery conversations. 
  • Successfully onboard new customers (responsible for sending new customer paperwork and getting credit setup).  
  • Collaborate with Pricing Team on quoting and spot shipment opportunities. 
  • Review new opportunities during group meetings and weekly 1-on-1 meetings. 
  • Maintain updated CRM records including calls, quotes, and opportunities on your accounts and meet daily call requirements (outlined by management). 
  • Monthly continued education opportunities with People Operations Department.  
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities as required by Management. 
Requirements
  •  A bachelor’s degree in sales preferred  
  • 6+ year of experience in working with shippers in the freight/logistics industry 
  • 6+ year of experience in sales, operations, account management, or similar functions 
  • Demonstrated success in high-growth environment, including process development, implementation, and execution 
  • Possess strong interpersonal and time management skills 
  • Comfortable with change  
  • Resourceful and flexible 
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized 
  • Manage and prioritize competing demands   
  • Excel proficiency preferred 
  • Experience with McLeod Software preferred  
Salary Description
$50-$60k/year plus incentives and health insurance
