Riley Power group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Pinehurst, NC. We work nationwide on some of the most challenging, exciting construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. We are currently accepting applications from skilled Scaffold Builders for upcoming positions in the US. Essential Functions of this position may include but are not limited to:

Scaffold Builders are competently trained personnel that construct/dismantle scaffolding in accordance with OSHA policies/procedures to provide safe trade access during various phases of construction.


Responsibilities might include but would not be limited to:

  • Unloading scaffolding equipment on-site
  • Ensuring a stable base for scaffolding
  • Erecting scaffolding poles
  • Fixing scaffolding to buildings or structures
  • Laying planks for workers to walk on
  • Fixing guard rails and safety netting
  • Dismantling scaffolding when a project is complete
  • Creating different kinds of platforms, from simple scaffolding through to complex structures such as suspended scaffolding, cantilever drops and temporary roofs
  • Working on-site in all weather

Requirements

Qualification, education, and experience requirements:

Required:

  • 4 Years Carpentry and/or Scaffold building experience
  • Experience operating various pneumatic and electrical tools
  • Candidate must be able to work in restricted/confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and high elevations
  • Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
  • Candidate must have the ability to complete safety harness training and wear a safety harness
  • Must be able to lift and handle steel scaffolding, various types of lumber including planks and plywood
  • Must be able to push and pull as part of the daily routine
  • Must have the ability to read/follow scaffolding drawings and company policies/procedures
  • Must possess basic math skills and perform layouts with measuring tools
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense
  • Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license
  • Must qualify to wear fall protection while working at heights greater than five feet
  • Must qualify to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial lifts
  • Must be highly motivated, possess good interpersonal skills, be able to work in a collaborative team environment and or work independently
  • Must be able to follow directions from supervision and meet daily goals

Preferred:

  • Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial lifts
  • Experience with fall protection
  • Previous scaffolding experience and familiarity with Universal Scaffolding
  • Previous experience working in the construction industry, a manufacturing environment or related trade training
  • High school diploma/GED

Successful candidate must possess the willingness and ability to complete and pass all pre-employment and employment screening requirements which may include but are not limited to: Practical skills, COVID-19, other medical, psychological (if required by site), background and substance abuse screening(s).


Physical Requirements

Lifting objects weighing 50 pounds to waist height and transporting a distance of 10 feet.
