Walton Arts Center Inc. operates two campuses: a 1,200-seat proscenium theatre and 269-seat black box in Fayetteville and an 11,000-capacity outdoor Amphitheatre known as the Walmart AMP in Rogers, AR. Position Overview

The Beer Runner will support the Food & Beverage department to ensure the efficient running of all beverage stations throughout the venue during a show or event.

Principal Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Execute set up of beer tents prior to each show
  • Stock beer supply at each station and maintain  stock throughout the show
  • Help separate, crate, and return unused stock to coolers at the end of the show
  •  Work to ensure inventory counts remain accurate
  •  Work closely with members of the Food &   Beverage department to ensure a pleasant experience for all patrons.
  • Other bar support tasks as needed
  • Maintain professional working relationships with   teammates, fellow staff members from other departments, vendors, patrons, and   tenants of leased spaces.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor or   Manager
  • Maintain security and safety requirements as defined by operations guidelines. 
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and   procedures

Education, Training, Traits

  •  21 years of age or older
  • Reliable   and punctual
  • An on-going desire to learn and improve
  • Able   to use a Dollie/hand truck
  • Good   communication skills
  • Must   have flexibility to work an event-driven schedule including evenings and weekends
  • Ability   to make decisions in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability   to interact and get along with many different types of people
  • Ability to work independently as well as with   others to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of   instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability  to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully   within ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including  meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards 
  • Ability   to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and  other federal, state, and local standards

Work Experience

  • Six months related experience and/or   training

Physical

  • Must  be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must  be able to talk, listen and speak clearly 
  • Must have a working cell   phone and be willing to install basic applications and be willing to use it   for work purposes
  • Must  be able to endure standing or walking for extended periods of time on various   surfaces such as concrete, grass, and inclined surfaces
  • Must  be able to endure outdoor elements including cold, heat, sun, wind, and   precipitation
  • Must  be able to work in large, crowded environments, with flashing lights, loud   music, noises, pyrotechnics, and cannons as part of shows and events

Shift Details

  • This  position will typically work, day-of-show only
  • Availability   starting at 1pm is preferable; availability starting by 3pm is required
  • Shifts   will typically end approximately 30-45 minutes after the show ends – around   11:30pm
  • individuals   who are also interested in working a Local Crew position are able to do so as   these job duties are typically complete prior to the Local Crew call time.

$15.00 to $17.00 plus tips
