Description

Ascent Classical Academy of Northern Colorado seeks an Administrative Assistant. At Ascent Classical Academies, administrative and support staff seek to foster an environment conducive to the intellectual and moral betterment of students.  Faculty and staff alike are encouraged to take their own moral and intellectual improvement seriously as part of a supportive and excellence-driven culture. The Administrative Assistant has superior organizational and communication skills necessary to cover daily tasks and operate the front office. 


Responsibilities may include:

  • Administrative support, including providing temporary executive administrative support during the Executive Assistant’s leave
    • Maintain Headmaster's schedule, triage all incoming requests of the Headmaster’s time, minor HR administrative tasks, weekly staff communications, and project management
  • Triage all incoming requests to the Dean of Faculty’s time and expertise
  • Substitute teacher coordination
  • General teacher/staff support
  • Support of front office including greeting visitors, answering phones, running security checks, and answering general inquiry emails
  • Event coordination and assistance, as needed
  • Occasional discipline support in classrooms, hallways, and lunchroom 
  • Support the Deans as needed with projects, scheduling, and communication

Ascent Classical Academies partners with a network of classical charter schools based in Colorado delivering a content-rich curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences, with underlying principles in the Western tradition of the study of history, literature, philosophy, and fine arts. Our American Classical Education includes, among other things, the study of Latin; a rich examination of American literary, moral, philosophical, political, and historical tradition; and a school culture centered upon moral virtue, respect, discipline, and studiousness among students and faculty alike. Ascent Classical Academy charter schools currently serve approximately 1,700 students in K-12 campuses located in the Denver and Fort Collins areas of Colorado, with significant expansion planned throughout Colorado, the Carolinas, and beyond.  


Desired Start Date: immediately, or no later than April 16, 2023  


Compensation Range and Particulars: $30,000 to $40,000 annually, highly dependent on skills and expertise  


Schedule and Classification: Full-Time 40 hours a week | Non-Exempt

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • After offer is accepted, satisfactory background check as required by state law and Colorado Department of Education
