General Summary: Responsible for initial grain accounting and co-products accounting functions. Provides additional administrative functions for the company including data entry, directing calls and assisting visitors. Responsible for monitoring and assisting incoming and outgoing truck traffic including corn, co-products, ethanol and chemicals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Professionally and timely direct calls, take messages and interface with vendors, members, customers and organizational departments
- Maintain office supplies as well as coordination of other services, supplies & materials necessary for efficient operations
- Assists scale room staff by probing, grading, scaling corn/co-product trucks and generates accurate paperwork of the same while ensuring products are within appropriate measure for plant operations
- Professionally and timely communicates with truck drivers, elevators, farmers and other customers
- Directs truck traffic to the appropriate loading/unloading locations in the facility
- Accurately completes the Accounts Payable process including but not limited to invoice processing, investigating discrepancies with purchase orders and invoices, coding, entering invoices into the accounting software, processing check runs and filling paid invoices according to vendor
- Processes accounts receivables
- Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assists other positions in maintaining accurate recordkeeping through various means included but not limited to utilizing filing systems for record retention, organization of various paperwork and utilizing computer programs for data entry
- Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed in a self-directed fashion while focusing on continuous improvement in all aspects of the job
- Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, computer literacy especially in Microsoft Office or equivalent and ability to multi-task.
Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. No prior experience required. Accounts Payable experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 10-15 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Working Conditions: Standard office setting. A significant amount of exposure to loud noise and dusty conditions.
