The Data Scientist Manager is a critical position that will help Tracer strengthen its AI capabilities. This person will work closely with the EVP of Data Analytics & AI and the overall business to drive continued advancements in the development and implementation of AI both for internal use, e.g. customer churn and into our Products. The individual will solve complex problems with a focus on timely delivery and ownership of results while leading a team. The role will require strong skills in AI ecosystem and creative problem solving.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and develop a team
- Support, define and build the AI stack.
- Define, build and support AI solutions for different departments (Marketing, Sales, Finance, HR)
- Work with all departments on collecting their AI requirements implement them accordingly
- Clearly document and communicate the outcomes of initiatives and make sure that the results can be clearly understood by business stakeholders.
- Inspire and promote the adoption of AI across the entirety of our organization and provide expertise for the broader applied analytics team.
- Support sprint/work design and planning.
With the R&D team build AI solutions for our core products including potential solutions like:
- Unusual Data Access Behavior with Machine Learning
- Machine Learning into the Anonymization process to automate rules and priorities of anonymization algorithms
- ML for creation of Synthetic Data, structured and unstructured
- ML for Data Classification algorithms that detect certain types of data in structured and unstructured formats
- New algorithms and solutions for more advanced requirements like AI on Homomorphic Encrypted Data (i.e. ML in Cipher Data), Federated Learning, Multi-party compute, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience Leading and Managing a team
- 4+ years of hands-of experience in the AI ecosystem including:
- Hands-on experience with AI libraries (scikit-learn, mlflow, cuda, xgboost, spark-ml, spark, etc.) and AI tools like Dataiku, Domino, Databricks, Sagemaker
- Hands-on experience with Privacy /Security algorithms such as K-anonymity, Differential Privacy, Homomorphic Encryption and others and concepts like Machine Learning on Encrypted Data and / or Federated Learning
- Hands-on experience with Cloud
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetss and Docker and respective container storages repos
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Redshift and/or other database engines
- Hands-on experience with Visualisation Tools
- Team player with a problem-solving attitude
- Experience of delivering advanced analytical projects to large, complex organizations in a multi-functional environment.
- Able to challenge and review the quality and value generated from AI models
- Focus on driving business value to support long term relationships.
- Ability to support team members, ensuring the culture and strategy gets followed by new hires.
EDUCATION:
- MSc in a relevant field such as data science, computer science, operations research, mathematics, science, data mining, artificial intelligence, applied statistics, machine learning, security and privacy engineering
