Description

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Under general supervision, performs welding of equipment and fabrication of equipment storage racks. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Welding of equipment per company procedures. 
  • Perform pressure testing of equipment to test integrity of welds.
  • Prepare inspection documentation and logging of pressure tests.
  • Assists with loading/unloading equipment on to racks and transportation vehicles.
  • Maintain work area, tools and fixtures to ensure there are no hazard to personnel or integrity to parts being assembled/welded. 
  • Contribute in building and/or reconstruction of various parts components and equipment racks/dollies. 
Requirements

EHS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company's TRIR goals
  • Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company's environmental performance goals
  • Complete, and actively participate in all of the company's EHS training requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Welder's certification
  • A clean driving record is required for vehicle operators.
  • 3-4 years’ artificial lift experience is preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence as required
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Basic hand tool proficiency
  • Basic computer skills required to operate computerized test equipment
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • A combination of the above qualifications will also be considered

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to safely bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at area.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace.
  • Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work environment is typically considered within an ELS location during normal or extended business hours.
