Description
The Business Analyst supports the smooth and efficient operation of the office and its associated administrative functions. This position works very closely with the Feedlot Manager, the Cattle Analyst, and all Yard Supervisors as well as the company’s Controller, Chief Financial Officer and General Manager.
Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cattle & Commodity Data entry and inventory tracking
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Process timecards and enter data into payroll system.
- Process month end billing invoices and statements
- Invoice miscellaneous receivables such as outside commodity customers and contractor fuel
- Enter cattle freight into accounts receivable as freight bills are received.
- Maintaining commodity & cattle truck compliance standards
- Oversee credit purchases – ensure purchase cards and vendor charge accounts are used appropriately. Aide supervisors, as needed, with reconciling purchase card statements each month.
- Assist in annual fiscal budget preparation.
- Prepare monthly budget meeting reports.
- Record and prepare monthly budget meeting minutes.
- Oversee maintenance of a clean and organized office, including scheduling and supervision of housekeeping staff. Oversight of office equipment maintenance.
- Order office supplies, oversee supply budgets, and always maintain sufficient supply inventory.
- Aide supervisors with information gathering and general support.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge & ability to learn feedyard database systems (Turnkey & MicroBeef)
- Microsoft Excel Experience
- Excellent Customer Service
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Flexibility & Interest to learn all aspects of the feedlot industry.
- Highly Organized
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Good Problem-Solving Skills
- 2-year degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping required or the equivalent through prior bookkeeping experience
Salary Description
$18.00 - $24.00 an hour
