Position Summary: Tahirih seeks a Legal Advocate to join our interdisciplinary legal team. This individual will primarily focus on providing screenings and intakes; advocate for clients with a variety of stakeholders as they navigate the criminal justice system; and provide support and assistance to attorneys representing clients. Tahirih represents immigrant survivors of gender-based violence both in court and affirmatively in cases such as VAWA self-petitions, T-visas, U-visas, asylum cases, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, and occasionally, family law-based claims such as divorce, custody and protective orders. The position is based in Baltimore, Maryland.
