Radiology Technologist
Description
  • Perform quality x-ray exams in CR and DR rooms
  • Utilize EMR and Practice Management Systems appropriately
  • Answer patient questions and listen to their concerns
  • Import outside images into SOC’s PACs system and export SOC images onto discs as requested.
  • Merge all images being pushed from outside facilities
  • Push images to outside facilities as needed
  • Clean and stock x-ray exam rooms and dressing rooms
  • Maintain cleanliness of waiting room
  • Check CR and DR lists at the end of the day for volume verification 
  • Prepare and fax surgery lists to Operating Rooms as needed
  • Work in fluoroscopy clinic when coverage is needed
  • Functions as a team player among all SOC employees, demonstrating willingness to help wherever needed and considering all work to be done as SOC work, not just department work
  • Assures compliance with the rules and regulations of HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare, Medicaid, and other programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Administration, or Physicians.
Requirements

Education and qualifications

High School diploma 

RTR and CPR certified

Equipment Used

This job operates in a professional medical clinic environment and will be using CR and DR X Ray equipment. This role also routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax machines.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt level position and the hours may fluctuate Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Travel

Minimal travel to outreach clinics may be required.
