As a Food Service Cook, you will prepare and cook food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for customers. The cook will help keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently. They ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and following food storage procedures. Ensure that the kitchen area remains clean and up to company standards and health codes. The Food service cook will also get the opportunity to cook outside preparing Barbeque.

The cook plans, prepares, and cooks food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for customers. The cook will help keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently. They ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and following food storage procedures.
- Set up and break down workstations.
- Verbally communicate and enforce Food Safety.
- Cook and prepare food according to production guidelines and recipe specifications.
- Inspect equipment prior to use.
- React calmly and quickly in stressful situations.
- Knowledge of food preparation and maintains highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Ensure food is stored at an approved temperature and follows FIFO.
- Complete temperature log paperwork on a daily basis.
- Complete opening and closing procedures.
- Responsible for using correct portions when preparing and serving food.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils.
- Must be able to safely operate all kitchen equipment.
- Must be able to read and follow recipes.
- Must be able to understand and follow directions from manager/supervisor.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, push pull or carry up to 30lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours.
- Involves working with chemicals, heated equipment, and other at-risk conditions.
