Description

As a Controller for PURIS Proteins, you'll be responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, including producing financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and implementing controls and budgets to mitigate risk and ensure accurate financial results. Additionally, you'll excel at building and developing a high-performing finance team within the PURIS organization. Requirements

We're seeking a detail-oriented Controller who can take ownership of our company's financial operations. In this role, you'll maintain accounting policies and procedures, manage outsourced functions, and oversee the operations of the accounting department to achieve our goals and objectives. You'll also ensure timely payments of accounts payable and prompt collections of accounts receivable, manage the availability of our line of credit, and maintain financial records and controls. You'll compile financial statements, complete monthly reconciliations, and provide financial analyses to support business decisions. You'll work closely with external auditors for annual audits and tax preparation, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements. Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Proven experience in managing financial operations, including developing policies and procedures, managing budgets, and overseeing accounting transactions
    Experience in financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting
  • Experience in managing external audits and tax preparation
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and accounting software
