Heavenly Care wants to care for nurses who care for others.  Weekend, Mid-day hours available in the Lakeway (78734) area. We have a very wonderful client in Lakeway that is in need of wonderful nurses to provide various services, including tracheostomy care.   

RESPONSIBILITES 

• Travel to assigned clients’ homes and manage their care plan according to physician’s instructions. 
• Assess and chart observations of the client's condition at each visit. 
• Complete evaluation tasks, including reviewing medication and vital signs. 
• Dress or redress wounds and assess the healing progress. 
• Educate caregivers and family on the aftercare or ongoing care of the client. 
• Keep the client comfortable through palliative care. 
• Recommend tools or devices that may improve the life for the client. 

SKILLS 

• Must be willing to work in the Lakeway (78734) area. 
• Must have hands-on experience providing tracheostomy care 
• Must have experience with airway suctioning, including tracheostomy suctioning 
• Strong interpersonal skills to know and understand the clients, build personal rapport, and establish trust to provide high-quality care while increasing clients’ enjoyment and comfort. 
• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and when required accept direction from others, including clients. 
• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to act swiftly in emergencies and work efficiently. 
• Flexibility and patience to work in a variety of living environments. 
• Knowledge of clinical skills including changing bandages, giving tube feedings, administering shots, and setting up and monitoring IVs 

•  Must be willing to work in the Lakeway (78734) area. 
• Must be available: 11am-12pm on Saturdays and Sundays
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transport 
• Relevant license and certification 
• Strong candidates have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in the home care industry (or related industry – hospice, home health, hospital, etc
• $80 TOTAL per visit (1-hour visit)
