Description

The Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the team by performing a variety of clerical responsibilities, including but not limited to: providing support to managers and staff, assisting in daily office needs, and managing the company’s general administrative activities. This role will ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office. 


This is a hybrid position which requires on-site presence 3 times per week at minimum. Office is located in Lansing, MI.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with the Michigan Credit Union Foundation (MCUF) duties which include coordinating board meetings, taking minutes, and sending out board materials. 
  • Coordinate registration for special events, communication with members and vendors, assistance with event preparation/set up, library partnership tracking and general fundraising help as needed.
  • Help with marketing & communications tasks, including but not limited to: keeping “Sugar” and “Try a Credit Union” databases up-to-date, contacting credit unions for necessary records upkeep, backend newsletter building and maintenance, proofreading marketing materials, monitoring and posting approved content on social media, and coordination of awards information.
  • Provide support to educational team by preparing and proofreading event materials, sending confirmation emails to attendees, speakers, vendors & facilitators, responding to member requests via phone & email, and handling event registration. 
  • Maintain inventory, organization, and items labeling in the office storage spaces. 
  • Support CMN fundraising activities, such as live & silent auction, golf outing and “Fun Run” by assisting with collection, photos, and coordination of items to be posted on the website and taken to events. Will also secure and label items for transport.
  • Provide assistance with PAC fundraising duties. 
  • Assist MCULSC staff with chapter communications, webinar scheduling, entering of sales data in Sugar, and member support.
  • Be main point of contact for deliveries in the Lansing office and coordinate staff parking.
  • Maintain office for supplies, cleanliness, and staff gatherings.
  • Assist with technology needs and takes incoming phone calls for both MCUL & MCULSC.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to multitask and prioritize
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven experience in sales support or customer facing role
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Ability to handle and secure confidential materials
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field preferred, but not required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative or customer facing role
