Description
- Be responsible to schedule and reschedule all imagining procedures using the Radiology Information System
- In charge of patient registration, verification of patient demographics, reviewing pts chart to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Ensure accurate entries in RIS, and prompt scheduling of all modalities.
- Modify and update billing, clinical and appropriate information in the RIS.
- Confirm appointments and provide instructions to patients for their procedures
- Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phoneCollaborate with supervisory staff, nursing, physician s and technicians to facilitate an efficient work flow.
- Completes other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
- Communication skills to converse clearly over the telephone and in person
- Organization and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectively
- Attention to detail to schedule patients correctly and communicate scheduling difficulties with providers
- Technological skills, such as using word processing and spreadsheet programs to track data
- Interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients who may be upset or stressed
- Bilingual a plus (Chinese speaking preferred)
