Description

This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a new plant start up with a premier cabinetry brand, Dura Supreme Cabinetry LLC, in Statesville, NC. We are looking for an IT Support/Systems Administrator to help us with the start-up of our new location in Statesville, North Carolina.  This position is a hybrid position requiring hardware, infrastructure and network experience. 


This position will perform a variety of complex information technology support duties to ensure that all Dura Supreme information technology infrastructures and systems are maintained and fully operational. As a member of the IT Operations team, this individual requires very strong technical skills in areas including server/network management, machine application support, PC management, information security, Windows servers, printers, ticket escalation, and providing technical support. 


This is on on-site position and is the first point of IT contact for Statesville working closely with team members in our IT team in Minnesota.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for all company networks including wired, wireless, VLANs, VPN, external, and remote hosted sites.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Assist with the management of anti-virus, website blocking, intrusion detection, and other processes to protect from internal and external threats. 
  • Assists in the administration and maintenance of network infrastructure components including routers, switches, firewalls, and network/security appliances. 
  • Provide support for all company email systems (O365, Exchange, SPAM filtering, email archiving, email recovery). 
  • Provide support for other company collaboration systems (Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, etc.)
  • Manage Microsoft O365 licenses, new user setup, user inactivation, folder & application permissions.
  • Assist with managing active directory structure.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer networks and systems including firewalls, VPNs, routers, phones, printers, wireless access points, and other physical hardware.
  • Maintain preventative security measures including virus protection on company devices.
  • Assist with developing best practices and policies for network resources and company assets.
  • Assist with the management of the company virtual VMWare environment, including creating, monitoring, and updating all company servers (primarily Windows servers) 
  • Minimize and manage security vulnerabilities while ensuring organization workstations, peripherals, servers, and network components are updated with the latest software, hardware, and firmware patches.
  • Monitor system performance and possess the ability to rapidly respond to issues in a timely fashion to include engaging vendor support as needed to resolve issues.
  • Experience in administration of LAN and WAN environments, various Windows Server Operating System versions, MS SQL, and MS Exchange Server, application support, WSUS, DNS and DHCP. 
  • Excellent service skills in supporting and communicating with end-users, ability to do detailed documentation in clear and precise language, and the ability to quickly research solutions to problems. Document actions taken to resolve incidents within our ticketing platform. 
  • Plan, implement, and support projects for IT (E.g., Server upgrades, device trust, network monitoring, hardware/software installations).
  • Document and diagram networks and systems, configurations, and changes.
  • Perform network security, capacity and stability monitoring and respond to alerts.
  • Provide hands-on support for PC and printers issues. May also provide support for some machining on manufacturing floor.
  • Provide support for all 3rd party applications, including assisting with selection, evaluation, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and updating.
  • Provide support for company applications and environments (IIS/.Net Environments), including setting up and maintaining servers and IIS, assisting with troubleshooting application performance issues, and setting up development, stage, and production environments. 
  • Manage file system, application, network, and database information security. 
  • Provide technical support on computer-related and technical issues including ticket escalation.
  • Provide on call and after hours support as needed. 


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer/Engineering field or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in an IT Operation team role required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Meraki or Cisco network hardware including switches and firewalls a plus
  • Experience with SQL Server, IIS/.Net Environments, VMWare, and O365 is preferred
