The Project Engineer is paired with a project manager to gain project management experience by enhancing previously acquired skills. As the PE, this role offers the opportunity to develop skills in construction operations, client development & management, subcontractor relations, project planning, site safety, corporate culture, and organizational skills.
A Day in The Life
- Set up and maintain budgets and cost reports with Project Manager.
- Set up and maintain project schedules in Microsoft Project.
- Collaborate with development coordinator to create owner contracts, subcontracts, and change orders in Yardi.
- Set up and maintain all onsite construction documents, including plans, specifications, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and associated revisions.
- Manage job processes including Requests for Information (RFI’s), submittals, Change Order Logs, meeting minutes, and invoices. Review and log subcontract change orders.
- Support with bidding, qualifying, and awarding process for all subcontractors for individual projects. Assist with the preparation and presentation of the project Bid Book to tenants and/or ownership. Value engineer job costs and negotiate, as necessary.

What You Bring
- B.S. or M.S. in engineering, construction, or similar field.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Construction internship/ work experience preferred.
- Yardi knowledge a plus.
