THE ROLE


The Director of Admissions will oversee a group of leaders in order to effectively manage and execute the enrollment process. This position will regularly support, strategically plan and collaborate with partner campuses, and will develop, train and maintain quality staff.  The Director of Admissions will enhance and maintain effective communication and relationships within the OPR team and the partner campuses. 

This is a full-time, remote role. 


THE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work closely with partner campuses to ensure      enrollment processes are being executed in a manner that is best for the      student and the college/university
  • Make strategic and operational decisions to      ensure execution of an efficient and student focused admissions process
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all      online programs and all internal and external policies, procedures, and      requirements of our partner schools
  • Ensure assigned enrollment plans are met or      exceeded through supervising and monitoring reps and individual      contributions
  • Establish      self as a resource for the OPR team and partner schools  
  • Interview, hire, and train new staff and leaders
  • Oversee the daily operations of admissions team
  • Participate in strategic discussions and decision making with partner schools
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Provide work direction and problem-solving assistance to other individuals
  • Supervise staff, including scheduling and assigning work, reviewing performance, and recommend salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations.

THE REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience overseeing leadership roles
  • 10+ years of admissions, customer service, or sales experience
  • 3+ years management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of the college admissions process
  • A proven track record of achieving measurable results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven department
  • Commitment to customer service with a continuous focus on improvement
  • Demonstration of effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to motivate others 
  • Ability to manage multiple database systems
  • Ability to train and support other staff members
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and reporting skills
  • Demonstration of strong planning, initiative, and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 


  • Leadership experience in education 
  • Military recruiting experience
  • Experience as a third-party resource
