We are looking for Project Engineers to oversee commercial construction projects.
The ideal applicant will be highly organized, able to ensure high quality and high safety standards, and will be proactive.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure high-quality standards are met
- Establishing and maintaining Contract Document logs, posting changes electronically
- Assisting with preparing monthly reports
- Writing scopes of work for bids and assisting in the preparation of bid packages
- Performing quality surveys (takeoffs) for all changes
- Preparing estimates
- Traveling and coordinating projects on-site
- Ensure supplies and equipment are available
- Collaborating with subcontractors, engineers, and key team members
- Coordinating required inspections with local authorities
- Reviewing contractor safety plans for compliance
- Recording safety statistics and completing accident reports
- Ensuring safety on job sites
- Reviewing and analyzing contractor quality plans
- Managing work corrections
- Monitoring progress and ensuring timely deliverables
- Reviewing bids for compliance with the scope
- Reviewing vendor drawings and submittals
- Preparing and distributing daily reports
- Collaborating with subcontractors, engineers, and key team members
- Coordinating required inspections with local authorities
Requirements
Desired qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction
- BS/BA degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
is helpful but we value your field experience
- Comfortable reviewing details with contractors
- Demonstrated comprehension of safety plans
- Understanding of construction operations and processes
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment
- Software savvy – MS Office; familiar with construction and project management software programs such as Procore and Bluebeam
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation and management skills
- Must be able to travel to the job sites (Baltimore area)
- Must have field experience
- Demonstrated comprehension of project-specific safety plans
- Strong understanding of construction operations and processes
- Must be able to travel to the job sites

Salary Description
$80,000-$88,000
