Ayurprana is an innovative young company founded on the belief that Ayurveda and ancient healing wisdom have the power to transform lives. Under the guidance of Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc, Ayurprana offers health coaching, interactive webinars, and impactful online educational courses to help people live optimally. Ayurprana is now opening a facility called So-Hum Mountain Healing Resort, that will help facilitate healing at all levels for an individual to release body work, detox panchakarma therapies, and educational class (yoga, breath work, meditation, nutrition, etc…) to help support an individual in his / her healing process.

Guest can spend their days immersed in the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga to allow themselves a space to reflect, heal, and awaken to a greater sense of Self.

Position Statement

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the successful operation and administration of the Engineering department. The Maintenance Engineer must ensure that they are focusing on providing exceptional customer satisfaction by always training on the touch points of the hotel and spa. The Engineering department must be executed at the highest level of professionalism and courtesy. The Maintenance Engineer must:

  • Drive results through properly maintaining all building related systems and the building.
  • Ensure that our associates and customers are treated with the utmost respect at all times since they are the key to our success.
  • Ensure that our associates and customers are safe by maintaining safety systems and infrastructure

  • Service any hotel pool or hot tub within the guidelines of the health department with proper documentation
  • Maintain property in accordance with fire, building and health codes
  • Operation of heavy equipment and tractor

  • Maintain building exterior and curb appeal
  • Proactively deal with inclement weather through activities like deicing and salting roads, snow removal, tree and shrubbery removal using tools like a chain saw
  • Lawn care, gardening care, firewood maintenance program
  • Daily and ongoing hotel preventative maintenance program execution
  • Attention to detail is a must for PM’s detail to ensure the highest quality standards
  • Participate in required stand-ups and meetings with enthusiasm and commitment to success
  • Deliver the best product at the highest standards
  • Must be capable to successfully prioritize, delegate, organize and multi-task
  • Must be able to conduct daily business with integrity and be ethical at all times
  • Treat guest, associates, vendors and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times

  • Ensure understanding and proper execution of emergency procedures
  • Execute PM’s on all hotel equipment in a timely manner to ensure safety and asset care
  • Execute all work orders in a timely manner with follow-up when needed
  • Ensure all work is execute in compliance with hotel and brand standards
  • Complete training on “Lock Out Tag Out” procedure
  • Ensure approved uniforms are being worn at all times with nametag
  • Ensure all work areas, storage areas and maintenance carts are organized and well maintained
  • Provide a well-maintained and comfortable room for each guest every day
  • Provide well-maintained meeting areas, public areas and back of the house
  • Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve issues to maintain high guest satisfaction
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • Perform other tasks that are deemed necessary to the success of the hotel and the associates

Starting at $18/hr (dependent on experience). Full Time associates receive paid time off and competitive benefits.

  • Pool maintenance certified
  • 3 year experience working in a commercial maintenance teams
  • Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, and communicating with vendors in the event help is needed
  • Familiarity with wide array of power tools
  • Basic of electrical, mechanical, boiler systems of domestic inn heat, understanding of septic and well systems
  • Familiarity with generators
  • Familiarity and experience with outdoors and uneven / mountain landscape

Physical Requirements - (not limited to)

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to repetitively stand, stoop, bend, crawl, reach above and below shoulders, repetitive arm and wrist use, climb ladders and stairs, and walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to recognize, register, and respond visually to color and depth perception.
  • Must be able to see and hear.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to work around moderate noise level.
