The Overlake School is always seeking qualified applicants for the coaching positions for upcoming seasons. We offer varsity, junior varsity, c team, and assistant coaching positions.
Founded in 1967, The Overlake School is an independent, nonsectarian, coeducational, college preparatory day school. At the high school level, Overlake offers the following sports:
Fall: Boys’ Cross Country, Golf, Tennis, and Ultimate; Girls’ Cross Country, Volleyball, Soccer
Winter: Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball
Spring: Boys’ Baseball, Lacrosse and Soccer; Girls’ Lacrosse, Golf, Tennis, and Ultimate

Salary ranges from $3,149 - $9,306 and is competitive with both local public and peer private schools.

Successful Candidates will:
- Be positive, caring, and supportive of the school’s mission statement and be dedicated to the overall development of young people as student athletes.
- Work collaboratively with coaches, students, faculty, parents, alums and administrators.
- Brings perspectives, identities and skills that reflect, affirm and enrich the diversity of the Overlake community.
- Role model the behavior which the program demands.
- Possess strong communication skills, be very well organized, and have a passion for the sport.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check in addition to having an acceptable driving record.
- Vaccination for Covid-19 highly encouraged
Coaching experience at the high school or club level, as well as a background as a competitive player, is recommended.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete one-day preseason coaches training on campus
- Execute all team practices and games
- Provide basic medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries (we’ll train). Ability to execute emergency plan for athletic facilities
- Meet department coaching standards and season planning expectations
