The strategic partnership manager is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships among business and community partners while also developing strategies to benefit the children and families we serve. 

The primary purpose of this position is to expand our partnership and support base, which includes individuals, foundations, corporations, faith-based organizations, and civic leaders to secure funding and resources. 

The Strategic Partnerships Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic, innovative, and collaborative plan to identify and engage critical community partners who share a commitment to the ongoing need for high-quality communities and wrap-around services for OYC. 



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop and execute a strategic and innovative plan for engaging critical community partners to support the program, service, and capital needs of OYC.
  • Nurture, develop, and maintain business relationships and design policies that allow partnerships to thrive.
  • Identify opportunities for new partnerships.
  • Strengthen existing relationships and collaborations.
  • Champion and manage new projects to create stronger partnerships.
  • Build the organizational network through targeted outreach and strong project planning.
  • Liaise with partners to solve issues, communicate needs and create synergy.
  • Respond to and follow up on leads, tenders, and partnership inquiries using the appropriate methods and professionalism.
  • Project a positive company image to the public.
  • Analyze and report on partner initiatives, forecast for strategic changes, and report on key metrics.
  • Create professional documents that tell compelling stories of our service impacts and outcomes, incorporating partner feedback, and meeting client requirements.
  • Enforce legally binding contracts.
  • Develop communication material for partnerships agreements [MOU, LOA, LOU, etc.]
  • Negotiate contracts with strategic partners.
  • Responsible for meeting, discussing  and coordinating new and existing partnership agreements.
  • Manage execution of agreements and  integrate partnership into program services.
  • Maintain affiliations and memberships in organizations that foster professional growth and/or furtherance of OYC.
  • Attend workshops, in-services, and classes, and participates on committees when needed.
  • Work in a cross-functional      environment, supporting and assisting in other areas of OYC

Requirements
  •  Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field required.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in sales, community relations, or development in a corporate or civic/non-profit setting.
  • Proven success in maintaining and/or establishing significant partnerships to indicate the capability to secure services and/or revenue
  • Must possess strong relationships and proven success in networking with community leaders.
  • Must be a strategic visionary.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, community and corporate partners, program participants, visitors, and the general public.
  • Basic computer skills /Microsoft Office
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must pass drug screening and Level 2 background fingerprint
