As an AI Chat Bot Product Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee the development and management of an AI-powered chat bot product. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, user experience designers, marketing professionals and our customers, to ensure the successful implementation and continuous improvement of the chat bot.

Essential Functions of the Job


  1. Product Strategy: Define the product vision, goals, and roadmap for the AI chat bot based on market research, user feedback, and business objectives. Identify target user segments and understand their needs and pain points.
  2. Project Management: Plan and coordinate the entire product development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment. Set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of milestones and product releases.
  3. User Experience: Collaborate with user experience designers to create intuitive and engaging conversational interfaces. Drive the design and implementation of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning algorithms to improve the chat bot's ability to understand and respond to user queries effectively.
  4. Data Analysis: Work closely with engineers to define key metrics and implement data collection mechanisms to track user behavior and chat bot performance. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and drive data-driven decision-making.
  5. Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, such as executives, developers, and marketers, to ensure alignment on product goals, progress, and challenges. Act as a liaison between different teams, managing expectations and resolving conflicts.
  6. Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular assessments of the competitive landscape to identify industry trends, benchmark against competing products, and recommend strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  7. Product Launch and Adoption: Develop go-to-market plans and collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive product awareness and adoption. Provide training and documentation to support internal teams and external users in utilizing the chat bot effectively.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Monitor user feedback and conduct usability tests to identify areas for enhancement and iterate on the product. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices in AI and chat bot development to drive innovation and stay ahead of the curve.

  1. Technical Knowledge:
  2. Strong understanding of AI principles, algorithms, and techniques, including NLP, deep learning, and machine learning.
  3. Familiarity with programming languages commonly used in AI development, such as Python, Java, or C++.
  4. Knowledge of chat bot frameworks and platforms, such as Dialogflow, Microsoft Bot Framework, or IBM Watson Assistant.
  5. Product Management Skills:
  6. Proven experience in product management, including defining product strategy, creating roadmaps, and managing product lifecycles.
  7. Ability to translate customer needs and market trends into product requirements and features.
  8. Experience in conducting market research, competitive analysis, and user testing to inform product decisions.
  9. Strong project management skills, including prioritization, planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
  10. Communication and Leadership:
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  12. Strong leadership skills to guide a team of engineers, data scientists, and designers in the development and improvement of AI chat bot solutions.
  13. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, UX/UI designers, marketers, and sales representatives.
  14. Business Acumen:
  15. Understanding of business objectives and the ability to align product strategies with organizational goals.
  16. Analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize product performance.
  17. Knowledge of the target market and industry trends, including customer needs, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.

  1. A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field 
  2. MBA or master’s degree in computer science is preferred 
  3. Relevant work experience in product management, software development, or AI-related roles
  4. Experience with chat bot technologies, natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and artificial intelligence is desirable.
  5. 5-7years of design experience as a product manager 
  6. Proven track record of successful product releases 
  7. Strong ability to collaborate with teams across varying disciplines to create a holistic product experience.
  8. Passion for innovation and a “can do” attitude and a keen attention to detail
