Job purpose
Responsible for consistent and efficient service toward restaurant guests at assigned station.
General Hospitality Job Responsibilities
- Maintain hotel’s Quality Customer Service standards and uphold the mission statements through the strict follow up of the Hospitality Rules.
- Maintain and abide to time clock rules, report to work area on time.
- Keep high grooming standards at all times and keep work area clean and safe.
- Wear, maintain and follow uniform standards at all times.
- Must become familiar and proficient in all aspects of the property, departments, locations, hours of operations, rooms, activities, etc. respond to guests accurately.
- Use guest etiquette at all times.
- Follow proper Handling Inquiries/Requests and complaints standards, and maintain the guest satisfaction rule at all times.
- Use proper telephone etiquette and answering techniques when answering the telephone.
- Anticipate guest’s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, at all times.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Follow proper emergency and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist all disabled guests, catering to their special needs as much as possible.
- Handle all information given, with complete confidentiality and never to use any information to your personal advantage nor to the advantage of any other person or entity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Check station before service starts, ensure all tables are appropriately set up.
- Set tables according to standards.
- Set up sugar bowls, creamers and prepare coffee station.
- Set up self-service coffee station.
- Set up linen and linen hamper.
- Stock glassware, china and flatware.
- Stock ice and water pitchers.
- Set up trash cans.
- Check par stock and inform Supervisor.
- Courteously greet and seat guests.
- Prepare espresso, cappuccino and iced tea.
- Take orders promptly and suggestive sell items from the menu.
- Serve wine according to our standards.
- Clear plates and change ashtrays.
- Clean coffee machine.
- Maintain carpet and floor, wipe spills immediately.
- Assist hostess in seating of guests when necessary.
- Check with guest to see that everything is satisfactory.
- Provide proper service for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
- Be familiar with the property’s fire and emergency program.
- Any other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years as a Bus Person in a min. 100 seating restaurant
18 years and up
Fluent in English

Working conditions
This position works in the usual food and beverage environment with the usual considerations to space, lighting and air conditioning. In addition this position may do work in the field.
